Millions of New Yorkers need help getting and keeping Medicaid, and thousands of nonprofit Benefit Navigators work hard to support them. But new federal policy changes will push more people into the system while shrinking the workforce available to guide them.

With fewer Benefit Navigators and rising demand, we need better ways to help them work efficiently.

Over the past six months, we’ve mapped the journey of Medicaid recipients and Navigators in NYC and identified a core bottleneck: application preparedness.

If we streamline application preparation; we can get more people covered.

That’s why we’re building Trapeze Benefits — a consumer-first Medicaid navigation platform that turns preparation into coverage.

Trapeze uses automation and AI to streamline applicant preparation, handing Navigators a ready-to-go client, so they can sign them up for Medicaid.

We are currently prototyping, iterating and co-building with the community.
